About
I am currently working for Meta Reality Labs as a product designer focusing on defining and developing System UX for smart glasses. The design topics I am tackling include Intuitive Gestural Input, Hardware UIs, Information Architecture, and App Models. When working for the Microsoft HoloLens team, I was a principal designer leading and shipping the design of Instinctual Interaction for HoloLens 2, Collaborative System UX for Mesh, and Mixed World App Model for future MR products. I was also an interim leader of the Experience Architecture (XA) Team building the team structure and mentoring team members.
I trained my out-of-the-box thinking at MIT, CMU, and Harvard. I was hired as an independent contributor by Samsung Research American in the Bay Area and by ASUS in Taiwan. I was also a project consultant for the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and Institute for Information Industry (III) in Taiwan. My works and projects were reported on ABC, published at CHI, HCI International, TEI, and CSCW, and demonstrated in CES, CeBIT, and Computex.
I dedicate to creating unique, novel, intuitive, and natural interactions and experiences for Graphical UI, Tangible UI, AR, and VR. I ideate, design, prototype, conduct user research and lead directions and teams. I do drafting, physical crafting, 3D modeling, coding, and electronics to make prototypes inspiring people and iterating ideas.
In short, I am a maker making innovation.
