Abstract

Buildings with organic shapes are defined as Free Form Architecture in the Digital Design ear. Computers are used to assist designers not only to explore new shapes, but also to construct them. "What you draw is what you build" becomes a new design paradigm.  In this project, we are the first research group setting up and executing the CAD-CAM process for architecture design and construction. The research result has been published in A+U 383 and won the FEIDAD Awards.
